What is the soil condition of your site?  Is it soft, hard, muddy, or sandy?  By determining the California Bearing Ration (CBR) of your site we can assist you in determining the number of layers of matting you will require and based on the types of loads and equipment you will be using the type of impact the subgrade will receive.

If you need assistance calculating the CBR of your site please contact our trained technical staff; we can also assist you in situations presenting:

  • Very Soft Soils
  • Critical lift with heavy loading or large weights
  • Environmental or regulatory issues (Email )

Logistics:

In preparing for your project calculate 42 Mats or 3,822 sq. ft per standard truckload.

Installation Process:

The mats, pins and tools should be removed from the truck with a forklift that has 6’ forks; the mats may be lifted individually or in groups.  Once the first DURA-BASE Mat is in place your operator will have the ability to work from the road and never have to drive on the subgrade.

If you require assistance determining the number of mats required for your location please contact our trained technical staff for assistance by emailing

Our customized toolkits and specialized accessories allow for a quick and safe installation.

Removal Process:

The installation process is simply reversed.  After all twist lock fasteners are unlocked and removed the mats are ready to be picked up and moved to your next project site.
